Finding Data Sources

The Library provides simple tools to find your data sources quickly.

The Library view with search and filters

Use the search bar at the top of the Library to find sources by name.

How to search:

  1. Click in the search bar (or start typing)
  2. Enter part of the source name
  3. Results filter automatically as you type

The search matches against source names, so use descriptive names when uploading files or creating connections.

Two dropdown filters help narrow down your view:

Filter by where the data came from:

  • All Origins: Show everything
  • Uploads: Files you’ve uploaded directly
  • Google Drive: Files from Google Drive
  • PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.: Database connections

Filter by connection status:

  • Active: Sources that are ready to use
  • All: Show all sources regardless of status

Tips for locating sources:

  • Use descriptive file names when uploading (e.g., “Q4_2024_Sales.csv” not “data.csv”)
  • Filter by origin type if you know where the data came from
  • Recent uploads appear at the top when sorted by date

The Library table shows key information for each source:

ColumnDescription
NameThe source name (file name or connection name)
OriginWhere the data came from (Uploads, Google Drive, etc.)
Date AddedWhen the source was first added
Updated DateLast time the source was refreshed
StatusCurrent status (Ready, Error, etc.)
SizeFile size (for uploaded files)

Each source has action buttons on the right:

  • Edit: Modify source settings
  • Download: Download the source data
  • Share: Share access to this source
  • Delete: Remove the source from your Library
