Sharing

Esta página aún no está disponible en español. Se muestra la versión en inglés.

Sharing decides who can open something. Access policies decide which rows they see once they’re in. You need both when different people should see different slices of the same dashboard.

New projects, dashboards and chats are saved to your private workspace unless you’re working in a workspace you belong to. Anything in a workspace is visible to its members, by role, without being shared one by one. Workspaces and privacy explains where things land.

There’s no way to share an item with the whole organization in one step. To make something visible to everyone, keep it in the organization’s default workspace, which everyone can reach.

A single item can be shared at three levels.

LevelWhat they can do
ViewerOpen it and see the results
EditorChange it
OwnerAlso manage who has access and its public links

There’s no separate admin level on an item. A workspace admin, though, can delete or share anything saved in their workspace, even without being its owner.

The Share icon in a project’s chat header opens the dialog. Only an owner can add people; everyone else sees “Only owners can share this project.” Search for someone in the organization, or type an email to invite someone new, pick a role and click Invite.

Under Public links, Create Link opens Create Share Link:

  • Link name
  • Share scope: Full Chat or Single Response
  • Under Advanced options, Expires in (7 days, 30 days, 90 days or Never; 30 days is the default) and Password protect

Only the owner can create or manage a project’s links, even though editors see the section. Deleting a link happens right away, with no confirmation. See Sharing a project.

  1. Add people: invite someone and pick their role.
  2. People with access: who has access now.
  3. Public links: links anyone can open.
  4. Create Link: make a new link.

Share in the dashboard header opens a dialog with Add people, People with access, Shared Pages and, for the owner, Widget Embeds. Roles are Owner, Editor and Viewer. Editors can see the add-people controls, but only the owner or an admin can actually add or remove someone.

Create Link under Shared Pages publishes the dashboard as a page:

  • Link name
  • Expiration: 7 days, 30 days (the default), 90 days or Never
  • Password protection
  • List in search engines, on by default and switched off when you set a password
  • Lock current filters and Hide filter controls

Public links belong to the owner. An admin can let editors manage them too by turning on “Editors can share dashboards” under SettingsCustomizeFeature toggles. Your plan also limits how many shared dashboards you can have.

  1. People with access: who can open the dashboard, and their roles.
  2. Shared Pages: public links to the dashboard.
  3. Create Link: publish a new link.

See Sharing and automating dashboards for the Share dialog, and Customize for the feature toggles.

A connector’s Sharing tab lets its owner invite people as Owner, Editor, Viewer or View all sources. Connector sharing isn’t on every plan; without it, the tab shows Pro Feature.

A file or table in the Library has Share… in its row menu. That dialog gives people Viewer or Editor access, and under Public links it can make a link anyone can open. A link only works for a file or table whose visibility, set in its detail panel, is public or unlisted. Library links have no expiry and no password.

Anyone who opens a public link is a viewer, and they see your data, filtered by your access policies, not theirs. The link dialog reminds you of this. If people need their own filtered view, share with them directly instead of sending a link, and use a password and an expiry on any link you do send.

Public link visitors don’t get the dashboard assistant.

Dashboards can also be embedded in your own site or app with the embed SDK. Admins list the sites allowed to embed Querri under Embed in Settings. If that list is empty, any site can. See Embed Domains.
