Salesforce

Connect Querri to Salesforce, pick the objects you want, and ask questions about your accounts, opportunities and cases in plain language.

The Salesforce connector signs in to Salesforce with your approval and copies the objects you choose into Querri. Each object becomes a source in your Library. You’ll find it under the CRM category.

  • A Salesforce user who can see the objects you want. Querri can only load what that user can query.
  • Pop-ups allowed for Querri, because Salesforce sign-in opens in its own window.
  1. Start the connection. Click Connect in the app rail and pick Salesforce in Add data, or click Connect on Salesforce in SettingsConnectors (admins). The Salesforce sign-in window opens straight away.
  2. Sign in and approve access. Salesforce asks you to log in and approve access every time, even if you’re already signed in to Salesforce.
  3. Choose objects. Back in Querri, the connector dialog reads “Select which Salesforce objects to sync. Standard CRM objects are selected by default.” Keep that starting set, pick more with Filter tables…, or turn on All Tables to sync every object.
  4. Save. Click Save.
  5. Load your data. See Load your data.
  1. The intro line: Standard CRM objects start out selected.
  2. Standard CRM: the core objects most Salesforce orgs use.
  3. All Tables: sync every object instead of a selection.

After you save, open the connector in the Library by clicking it under Connectors in the browse panel. If nothing has loaded yet, you’ll see “Salesforce is connected, but no data has loaded yet.” Click Load data now. Only the connector’s owner can start a load.

A progress card at the bottom of the page follows each object as it loads, then offers View in Library and Sync daily.

The object picker lists every object your Salesforce user can query, grouped into standard CRM objects, custom objects and other standard objects. A few system objects that Salesforce won’t return without a filter are left out.

These standard CRM objects are selected for you the first time, if your org has them:

AreaObjects
Accounts and peopleAccount, Contact, Lead, User
SalesOpportunity, OpportunityLineItem, Contract, Order, OrderItem
ProductsProduct2, Pricebook2, PricebookEntry, Asset
MarketingCampaign, CampaignMember
ServiceCase, Solution
ActivityTask, Event, Note

Objects with 100,000 records or more are fetched through Salesforce’s Bulk API. Smaller ones use its standard query API.

The connector’s owner can set schedules on its Schedule tab, with Full Refresh, Incremental, or both.

Salesforce supports incremental syncs. Each incremental run fetches only records whose LastModifiedDate changed since the last successful sync. Querri always uses that field for Salesforce, so you can leave Cursor Field blank. Add an occasional Full Refresh to catch records deleted in Salesforce.

To refresh by hand, right-click the connector under Connectors in the Library and choose Re-sync now, which runs an incremental sync.

Scheduled syncs use credits when they run; syncs you start by hand don’t. See Sync Scheduling and Credits.

Your browser is probably blocking pop-ups. Allow pop-ups for Querri and click Connect again.

The dialog shows the error with a Retry link. If the error is about your session or token, sign in again with Reauthenticate.

Open the connector and click Reauthenticate, then approve access in Salesforce again.

Querri lists only objects your Salesforce user can query. Check that user’s profile and permission sets, or connect with a user who can see the object.

  • Sign-in with Salesforce. You approve access in Salesforce, so Querri never sees your Salesforce password.
  • What Querri asks for: Salesforce’s api permission, to query your objects, and refresh_token, to stay connected. The api permission isn’t limited to reading, so connect with a user whose access matches what you want in Querri.
  • Querri keeps a copy. Synced data is stored in Querri. Disconnecting deletes the data the connector synced.
  • Sharing the connector is up to its owner, on the connector’s Sharing tab.
