Getting around
Querri keeps the same frame on every screen: the app rail on the left, Librarian chat beside it, and the page you’re working on.
Who can see this: everyone who’s signed in. Manage workspaces shows only for admins.
Signing in lands you in the Library, at the workspace you were last in. The first time, when there’s nothing to remember, that’s your organization’s default workspace.
- The app rail: start a chat, search, and move between places.
- Librarian chat: the chat, docked beside the page.
- The page: whatever you opened, here the Library.
How the frame changes
Section titled “How the frame changes”The chat keeps the same conversation wherever you go, so an answer that’s still arriving carries on while you move around. What changes is how much room it gets.
| Where you are | The chat |
|---|---|
| New chat | Fills the screen |
| Home | Hidden, with your conversation waiting for you |
| The Library, and the Projects, Dashboards and Inbox pages | A column beside the page, which you can close |
| A project | That project’s chat, with its Data Flow panel beside it once you open it |
| A dashboard | Opens beside the dashboard, and you can close it |
| Settings | Hidden, with your conversation waiting for you |
On a page with the chat docked, Expand chat in the chat’s header lets it cover the page, and Restore layout puts it back. If you close the chat, History or New chat on the rail brings it back. In a narrow window, the rail folds away behind a menu button at the top left.
The app rail
Section titled “The app rail”- Home: your starting page.
- New chat: start a fresh conversation.
- History: your past chats.
- Library, Projects and Dashboards: the places you move between.
- Inbox: what’s waiting for you, with a count.
From the top:
- The workspace tile shows your organization and workspace. See The workspace switcher.
- Home opens your Home page, where the greeting, the ways in and your discoveries are.
- New chat opens a fresh conversation filling the screen. Inside a project, it starts a new chat in that project instead.
- History opens Chat history in the chat panel. Click it again to get back to your conversation.
- Connect opens Add data, where you upload files or add a connector. See Data Connectors Overview.
- Search searches everything you can see. See Search everything.
- Library takes you back to the workspace you were last in.
- Projects opens your projects. While a project is still open in the chat, it takes you back to that project, and its tooltip says Back to and the project’s name. See Projects.
- Dashboards opens your dashboards. See Dashboards.
- Inbox, near the bottom, counts what’s waiting, up to 99+. See Inbox.
- Your picture opens a menu with Settings and Sign out. See Settings.
The button at the very bottom widens the rail. The wide rail puts labels beside the icons and adds a list of up to 10 projects and dashboards you opened recently. Querri remembers the width for you. While files upload, an Uploads item shows their progress.
Home in the rail is a page to start from, not a chat. It greets you by name, says which workspace you’re working in, and offers three ways in and whatever Querri has found for you. The chat panel isn’t shown here; your conversation is waiting when you go back to it.
- The greeting: your name, or Welcome back!
- You are currently working in: the workspace, which you can change here.
- Jump straight in: the three ways to start.
- Discoveries: what Querri found for you.
- Meet Querri: a short guide to the basics.
Jump straight in has three tiles:
- Ask a question: “Ask anything about your data. Explore it in a project.”
- Build a dashboard: “Bring your charts and key numbers together.”
- Keep organizing: “Chat with the Librarian to organize your data.”
Discoveries is the same feed as your Inbox, on the page you land on, so what Querri found overnight is in front of you rather than behind a badge. Open Inbox at the foot of it opens the full list. Before you’ve connected anything it says “Your library is ready for its first sources.” with Connect data, and if it can’t load it offers Try again.
Meet Querri is a short guide to the basics, introduced as “A little know-how while your data takes shape.” Explore the basics opens it and Hide guide closes it again; inside, you page through short topics, and Read the docs brings you here. Some topics are marked “Video coming soon”.
Revisit onboarding and Add more data sit near the top, for going back over the setup or bringing in more.
New chat
Section titled “New chat”- The greeting.
- Your workspace: the workspace this chat will use.
- The composer: type your question here.
- Library in the rail: back to your data.
New chat opens a clean page for a new conversation, filling the screen. It greets you, shows Your workspace, and gives you a box that reads How can I help you today? Type a question and the page turns into the conversation, right where you are. Coming back to it always starts a fresh chat.
Click the workspace pill to open its Work in menu. Picking a workspace there changes where your next chat looks and where it files what it makes, and you stay on the page. It’s the quickest way to set the context before you ask.
The workspace switcher
Section titled “The workspace switcher”- Organization: switch organization, if you belong to more than one.
- Everything: every workspace you can see.
- Private: only you.
- Manage workspaces: set up workspaces, for admins.
The tile at the top of the rail shows the workspace you’re in, with your organization’s name above it when the rail is wide. Click it to change either one. Under Workspace, the menu lists:
- Everything, “Every workspace you can see”
- your company-wide workspace, “Shared with everyone in your organization”
- Private, “Only you”
- any other workspace you belong to
Current marks the workspace you’re in, and picking another opens the Library there.
The workspace you’re in decides what the Librarian can find and where new work is saved. With Everything, the chat reads across every workspace you can see, but anything it creates is saved to Private. Workspaces and privacy explains why that matters.
Manage workspaces opens Workspaces in Settings.
Search everything
Section titled “Search everything”Press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows) or click Search on the rail to search every item you can see. It starts across Everything, and it matches the words in names and summaries rather than their meaning. Search covers the rest.
- The search box: type at least two characters.
- Everything: the scope a search starts with.
- The hint: what you can find.
