Connect Querri to Mailchimp and ask questions about your audiences, campaigns and email results in plain language.
Overview
Section titled “Overview”The Mailchimp connector signs in to Mailchimp with your approval and copies your Mailchimp data into Querri. Each kind of Mailchimp object becomes a source in your Library. It’s listed under Marketing and Email.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- A Mailchimp login for the account you want to connect.
- Pop-ups allowed for Querri, because Mailchimp sign-in opens in its own window.
Connecting to Mailchimp
Section titled “Connecting to Mailchimp”- Start the connection. Click Connect in the app rail and pick Mailchimp in Add data, or click Connect on Mailchimp in Settings → Connectors (admins). The Mailchimp sign-in window opens straight away.
- Sign in and approve access.
- That’s it for setup. Mailchimp has no form to fill in. If you open the connector’s settings, they read “No additional configuration is required for this connector.”
- Check that data loaded. Open the connector in the Library by clicking it under Connectors in the browse panel. If you see “Mailchimp is connected, but no data has loaded yet.”, click Load data now. Only the connector’s owner can start a load.
- Connect: starts Mailchimp sign-in.
What syncs
Section titled “What syncs”| Area | Objects |
|---|---|
| Audiences | Audiences (Lists), Members, Segments, Tags, Interest Categories (Groups), Merge Fields |
| Campaigns | Campaigns, Campaign Folders, Campaign Reports |
| Automations | Automations |
| Templates | Templates, Template Folders |
| Content | Landing Pages |
| Ecommerce | Connected Stores |
Members, segments, tags, interest categories and merge fields are fetched audience by audience, so each of those tables covers all your audiences.
Campaign Reports carry the performance numbers, such as opens, clicks and bounces.
Keeping data fresh
Section titled “Keeping data fresh”The connector’s owner can set a schedule on its Schedule tab. Mailchimp doesn’t support incremental syncs, so use Full Refresh.
Scheduled syncs use credits when they run; syncs you start by hand don’t. See Sync Scheduling and Credits.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”The sign-in window doesn’t open
Section titled “The sign-in window doesn’t open”Your browser is probably blocking pop-ups. Allow pop-ups for Querri and click Connect again.
”Your authentication has expired”
Section titled “”Your authentication has expired””Open the connector and click Reauthenticate, then approve access in Mailchimp again.
A table is empty
Section titled “A table is empty”Some tables only fill in when you use that part of Mailchimp. For example, Connected Stores is empty unless you’ve connected an online store to Mailchimp.
Security & permissions
Section titled “Security & permissions”- Sign-in with Mailchimp. You approve access in Mailchimp, so Querri never sees your Mailchimp password.
- No narrower permissions. Mailchimp’s sign-in doesn’t offer permission scopes, so approving gives Querri API access to the account. Querri uses it to read the objects above.
- Querri keeps a copy. Synced data is stored in Querri. Disconnecting deletes the data the connector synced.
- Sharing the connector is up to its owner, on the connector’s Sharing tab.
