How the Library learns

Your team asks the same kinds of questions every week, and in most places that work is gone as soon as the answer is read. Querri keeps it. The Library gets better at your business the more it’s used. By default, what it suggests waits in your Inbox until someone accepts it, while facts the Librarian records in chat are saved right away.

The idea

You don’t have to set anything up on day one. Connect or upload data and start asking. The structure behind good answers (collections, questions, views, KPIs and facts) builds up as you go, or you can define it up front if you’d rather.

So where does the learning come from? Three places.

While you work

Ask the Librarian to build a view, define a KPI or group questions into a collection, and the next answer can reuse that work. Settle a rule in conversation and it records a fact.

When new data arrives

Querri profiles new data as it comes in and learns which tables link through a shared key. It doesn’t build views just because data arrived. It links the views you already have, marks questions it can now answer, and once the data settles, suggests views worth building.

Overnight

Nightly insights runs a pass over your Library overnight. By default, Review existing answers groups what your team asked this week and decides, theme by theme, whether an answer exists or should be built. Find missing questions and views looks for questions nobody has asked that your data can answer. Profile data and joins checks column health, finds joins between sources and spots the same business entity living in two systems. And Watch metrics reads each KPI’s history, raising a card when one moves in a way its history says is unusual.

An admin sets How often it runs and a Nightly credit budget, per workspace. The default, Automatic, runs every night for the first week, then weekly while someone is reading the Inbox, and pauses when nobody has for two weeks. Daily and Weekly run on that schedule regardless, and Off stops it. One credit is one analysis, the default budget is 3, and the pass never spends more than your organization has left.

Who decides what changes?

You do, by default. As the Nightly insights page says, “Results always land in your Inbox for approval.” Suggestions arrive as cards such as Question worth a view, View to build, Metric to track, Worth watching, Worth remembering, Cleanup and Can’t answer this yet. Each says why it matters, who’s been asking and what accepting would add, and Evidence shows the data and query behind it.

The accept button names what it adds, like Add question + view + KPI, and accepting also records a fact saying why. Not useful turns a card down, and the Librarian won’t bring it back unless something changes. Discuss opens a Librarian chat, which uses a credit, and so does Accept with edits on every card except Worth watching.

Accept deliberately, KPIs most of all. A small, curated set of KPIs is worth more than many. The Librarian chose the metric on a Metric to track card, and it might not match how your business defines it.

Anyone in your organization can accept a card, since every member has write access to the Library.

Below the cards, the Inbox also shows verdicts from the latest review of your team’s questions, like build recommended. Each one waits for someone to act on it.

What changes without a card

The nightly pass only ever recommends. KPI values still recompute and views rebuild after syncs, and an admin can set two manual runs, Run discovery and Clean up duplicates, to Auto-build so they build or retire views without waiting.

An example

Say people on Curio’s operations team keep asking about on-time delivery by carrier, in slightly different words. Overnight, Review existing answers groups those asks into one theme.

Curio has a view called On-time delivery rate by carrier. If it answers the theme, the verdict is covered and there’s nothing to do. If no view did, the verdict would be build recommended, and no view would exist until someone clicked Create this view. Once a view covers the theme, the next person who asks gets an answer read from it, not rebuilt from raw shipment tables.

Where it lives in Querri

The Inbox is at the bottom of the rail, with a badge counting what’s waiting. Nightly settings at the top of the Inbox opens Nightly insights in Settings, which only admins can open. Accepted questions, views, KPIs and facts appear on the Library’s knowledge tabs. See Inbox and Nightly insights.
