Glossary

Short definitions of the terms Querri uses. Words in bold are labels as they appear on screen, and each entry links to the page that explains more.
The top role, at two levels. An organization Admin manages the organization in Settings, including people, workspaces and connectors. A workspace Admin “Can also manage the workspace and its members.” See People and Workspaces and privacy.
Anchor question
Section titled “Anchor question”The broad question a collection is built around, such as Curio’s “What is our revenue by channel (eCommerce, retail, B2B)?” A collection page calls it the Main question. See Anchor and refining questions.
Auto-build and Require confirmation
Section titled “Auto-build and Require confirmation”The two modes under Build and clean up on the Nightly insights settings page. Require confirmation only recommends, while Auto-build lets Run discovery build views and Clean up duplicates retire duplicates without waiting. It never applies to the nightly pass, and the choice is saved per browser. See How the Library learns and Nightly insights.
Collection
Section titled “Collection”One business concern in the Library, anchored by a question and holding its refining questions plus the views, KPIs and facts that answer them. Collections are listed on the Collections tab, and there’s no button to make one by hand. See Collections.
Connector
Section titled “Connector”A system Querri pulls data from, such as a database or a business app. Each table or file it brings in becomes a source. You add one from Connect on the app rail, which opens Add data. See Sources and connectors and Data Connectors Overview.
Creator
Section titled “Creator”The middle role, at two levels. An organization Creator can build and edit. A workspace Creator “Can see and edit”, which the Members tab calls “The usual choice.” See People and Workspaces and privacy.
Credits
Section titled “Credits”How Querri counts usage. Questions asked in the Library, questions answered in a project and nightly analyses each use credits, and How credits are counted on Monitor Usage lists your organization’s rates. Admins can also set a Monthly credit limit for each person. See Credits and Monitor usage.
Dashboard
Section titled “Dashboard”A page that arranges charts, tables and metrics from your projects, with filters and headings. It has a view mode for reading and an edit mode for arranging and styling. See Dashboards.
Dashboard assistant
Section titled “Dashboard assistant”The Librarian working on the dashboard you have open, on the chat panel’s Dashboard tab. It answers questions, and for someone with edit access it can add filters, headings and text, rearrange widgets and restyle the dashboard. It can’t create charts. See The dashboard assistant and The Librarian.
Data Flow
Section titled “Data Flow”The panel that shows every step of a project as a graph, so you can see where each result came from. Open it with Show data flow in a project chat. It’s also where you Run Now or Schedule the project. See The Data Flow.
Everything
Section titled “Everything”The scope that covers every workspace you can see. Anything Librarian chat creates while it’s set to Everything is saved to Private. See Workspaces and privacy.
Excel Export
Section titled “Excel Export”A project step that builds a new, formatted Excel workbook from steps already in the project, with one sheet per step plus an About sheet. It adds formulas when you ask for them. See Excel Export.
A statement recorded in the Library and attached to what it’s about, such as a table or a view. It can be a rule, a definition or something noticed about the data, and Querri takes the facts on a table into account when it writes a query against it. See Facts & Rules.
Find anything
Section titled “Find anything”The search bar in the Library’s Visualize view. Pick an item to open its detail panel, or choose Zoom to to light up everything related on the canvas. See Search.
Five dimensions of business value
Section titled “Five dimensions of business value”Revenue, Cost, Efficiency, Quality and Risk. Every KPI counts toward at least one of them. They classify the KPI itself and aren’t dimensions you slice a number by. See KPIs and the five dimensions of business value.
The organization role for people who only need to view what’s shared with them. As the team email domain setting puts it, “Guests can only view.” New invites start as Guest. See People.
Where the Librarian’s suggestions and monitor alerts wait for a person, as cards to accept or turn down. Nothing a card suggests joins your Library until someone accepts it, and the Inbox isn’t only for admins. See Inbox and How the Library learns.
A number your business tracks, defined once and measured from one table, so everyone who asks gets the same answer. Your KPIs are listed under the Metrics tab. See KPIs and the five dimensions of business value.
Librarian
Section titled “Librarian”Querri’s assistant for your Library. It answers questions from your data, shows what each answer read from, and can add collections, KPIs, views and facts as you chat. See The Librarian.
Librarian chat
Section titled “Librarian chat”The chat panel where you talk to the Librarian, docked beside the Library, the Inbox, and your lists of projects and dashboards. Before your first message it reads Ask your librarian. See where it lives and the Chat and the Librarian page.
Monitor
Section titled “Monitor”Watches a number on a view or table slice by slice, such as by region or by store, and compares each slice with its own history. When a slice really moves, a Something changed card lands in your Inbox. You start one with Monitor this, or by accepting a Worth watching card. See Monitors.
Nightly insights
Section titled “Nightly insights”The pass Querri runs over your Library overnight: it reviews what your team asked, looks for questions your data can answer, and profiles your data and joins. Its results land in your Inbox for approval, and admins set how often it runs and its credit budget. See How the Library learns and Nightly insights.
Private
Section titled “Private”The scope for your personal workspace, described in the scope menu as “Only you.” Dashboards that a project’s agent creates for you start here. See Workspaces and privacy.
Project
Section titled “Project”Where deeper analysis happens. You ask in plain language, and the project’s agent loads data, runs steps and draws charts. When a question needs a trend, a chart or a root cause, the Librarian offers to start one with This needs a project. See Projects and The Librarian.
Refining question
Section titled “Refining question”A narrower question under an anchor question, such as “What is the total revenue per customer?” under Curio’s revenue-by-channel question. A collection page lists them as Follow-up questions. See Anchor and refining questions.
A business rule or definition, like “sales means paid orders only”, recorded in the Library as a fact. Rules and other facts are listed on the Facts & Rules tab. See Facts & Rules.
Search everything (⌘K)
Section titled “Search everything (⌘K)”Press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows), or click Search in the app rail, to find any item you can see, starting across Everything. It matches your words in names and summaries, not their meaning. See Search.
A reusable recipe for the assistant: a one-line description, optional instructions and an optional example plan of steps. You can load up to five into a chat, and admins can share a skill with the whole organization. See Skills.
Source
Section titled “Source”A raw table or file you connected or uploaded, before anything is built on top of it. Views are built from sources, and a KPI can be measured from one. See Table and column panels and Sources and connectors.
One piece of work in a project, such as Load Source, Data Query or Visualization. Every step appears in the Data Flow, linked to the steps it depends on. See The Data Flow.
A saved, pre-calculated table that joins and cleans raw data so a business question can be answered from it directly. Views rebuild after their sources sync. See Views.
Viewer
Section titled “Viewer”The read-only role. A workspace Viewer “Can see this workspace’s content” without editing it, and Viewer is also the read-only level when a project or dashboard is shared with you. See Workspaces and privacy and Sharing and automating dashboards.
Workspace
Section titled “Workspace”A place where a group of people share a set of data and files, with its own members and roles. New connectors and files you upload in the Library land in the workspace you’re in. Files added outside the Library go to your organization’s default workspace. See Workspaces and privacy.
Wrapped
Section titled “Wrapped”A project step that turns the charts and tables already in the project into an animated, branded slide deck. You can page through it, Present it full screen, or Download it as PowerPoint or PDF. See Wrapped.
